Stockholm Ports is looking for an IT Specialist
Stockholm Ports is now seeking a proactive and experienced IT Specialist.
You will play a central role in ensuring stable and value-creating IT operations at a company that has strategic significance for the development of the Stockholm region.
About the Role
As a senior infrastructure and integration specialist, you will have a key role in ensuring a stable, secure, and well-functioning IT environment for Stockholm Ports.
You will work closely with the business and be responsible for the operation, management, further development, and automation of IT solutions that meet the organization's needs. With your technical expertise and holistic perspective, you will contribute to strengthening the business through IT support and creating conditions for continued development.
The IT unit currently consists of four people, including the IT manager. We work with both internal and outsourced operations primarily in an on-premises environment. The ambition is to gradually develop the technical platform and working methods over time. Management is developed according to the PM3 model, with a clear focus on structure, responsibility, and long-term management.
Your main workplace will be Värtahamnen in Stockholm. The position involves close collaboration with the entire organization, including working in our other ports in Stockholm as well as in Kapellskär and Nynäshamn.
The IT unit belongs to the Finance and Business Support department. You will report to the IT manager, who is part of the department's management team.
“As a manager, I want to create a clear and trusting environment where you as a specialist have the responsibility, mandate, and opportunity to make a difference in the organization” – IT Manager Nicklas Lindell
Your Responsibilities Include:
- being responsible for the operation, management, and further development of Stockholm Ports' IT infrastructure in a primarily on-premises environment
- working on automating recurring operational and management tasks to increase stability, quality, and efficiency
- participating in and driving technical improvement initiatives related to infrastructure, architecture, and working methods
- ensuring a robust, secure, and purpose-built IT environment in close collaboration with the business and external suppliers
- contributing to the development of technical architecture and technical choices from a long-term management and business perspective
- working on troubleshooting, incident management, and problem-solving during both acute operational disruptions and more complex technical issues
- following up and quality-assuring deliveries from outsourced operations and service providers
- contributing to structure, documentation, and orderly working methods within IT management according to PM3
- collaborating with the IT manager, colleagues, and the business on issues related to IT support, security, and technical development
What You Bring to the Role
You have:
- relevant university education in IT or equivalent work experience
- strong competence and several years of experience in operating and managing IT infrastructure
- several years of current experience in identifying, implementing, and further developing automated solutions within IT operations
- a good understanding of IT security, information management, and cybersecurity
- the ability to work systematically in environments with both internal and outsourced operations
- excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- a valid driver's license (B)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with technical security measures and controls within the framework of ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2
Is This You?
You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, while also being unpretentious and contributing where needed for the whole to function. You have a structured and orderly working style and the ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up your work effectively.
You have a clear service orientation in your work and a professional approach towards the business. At the same time, you have integrity and good judgment – you make trade-offs and stand by technical assessments even when different needs need to be balanced.
You are comfortable in dialogue with the business and can communicate in a way that creates understanding and trust. The role requires you to handle both urgent matters and more long-term, planned work. You have the ability to switch between these without losing structure or a holistic perspective.
We see that you thrive in a role with responsibility, collaboration, and demands for both stability and flexibility. Of course, you are passionate about both management and development. We also hope you are interested in shipping and port operations and want to be part of a team with a strong commitment to their work.
Great importance will be placed on your personal suitability.
We Offer
Stockholm Ports values an open atmosphere and we take pride in our good team spirit. We offer you a unique and varied job in a dynamic environment with friendly colleagues and interesting tasks. If you also agree that collaboration and a positive attitude in everyday life create joy at work for everyone, you will thrive with us at Stockholm Ports.
